Sorting Lucky Stars

I had make a lot of lucky stars using recycle papers (used magazine, flyers, etc). Kids like to play with those lucky stars.

They transfer them into bottle, and then put it one by one into the chocolate container showed in the picture.

It is a good exercise for find motor skills and concentration.

Tranferring Beads into Bottle through a Funnel

Recently, I put plastic colourful plastic beads in the sensory tub. There are also spoons, empty bottles and funnel.

Today FF is doing scooping exercise to transfer beads into the bottle by using the funnel given. It is such a great exercise to train her fine motor skill.

She also realised that if she doesn't use the funnel, the beads might fell out while pouring into the bottle.

Beading with pipe cleaner

Found this activity at Pinterest quite long ago but never give it a try.

Yesterday I saw Sheng Siong supermarket is selling the pipe cleaners for Chinese New Year decoration which cost $1.00 for 15s.

Today I let FF tries with it. She dislike the beads can't stay on the pipe cleaner if she pushes all the way down. This I tie a knot at the end so the beads won't drop out.

It is a good activity for her fine motor skill and also her concentration.

Cardboard Boxes Play

I remembered that there are quite a few cardboard boxes available in the house. So decided to take it out for kids to play.

They are so excited to see those boxes and arrange them to make a tunnel. After that, they pretend the boxes are their house, with garden around their house.

They are having such a great time pretending play with them.

Pom Pom and Bottle Caps Colour Matching

This is an activity for FF to work on colour matching. I have collected various colours of recycled bottle caps. Thus I match those bottle caps with respective colours pom pom to do colour matching exercise. At the same time, this can be used to teach the toddler the colours name.
